Ever noticed an app appearing in Siri Suggestions even though you rarely use it—or simply don’t want it displayed? Apple’s Siri can recommend apps based on your habits, but those recommendations aren’t always useful.
Fortunately, you can stop individual apps from appearing in Siri Suggestions without deleting them.
Whether you’re using an iPhone or iPad, here’s how to take control of Siri’s app recommendations and keep your device more organized.

How to Remove Apps From Siri Suggestions on iPhone and iPad
1. Remove an App From Siri Suggestions
If you want to stop Siri from recommending a particular app, you can adjust its settings individually.
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
Go to Siri or Apple Intelligence & Siri, depending on your software version.
Look for Apps or the app-specific Siri settings.
Select the app you want to remove from suggestions.
Turn off the available suggestion options, such as Suggest App or Suggest on Home Screen.
The exact names may differ depending on your iOS or iPadOS version.
This doesn’t uninstall the app. You can still open it normally whenever you need it.
2. Remove a Suggested App Directly From the Home Screen
If an unwanted app appears in a Siri Suggestions widget, try removing it directly.
Touch and hold the suggested app icon, then look for an option such as Don’t Suggest This App.
If that option appears, select it to discourage Siri from recommending the app again.
You can also remove the entire Siri Suggestions widget if you don’t want suggested apps on your Home Screen.
3. Stop Siri From Learning From Certain Apps
Siri learns from your app usage to provide personalized suggestions.
If you’d rather keep an app out of this learning process:
Open Settings → Siri → App Access.
Select the app.
Turn off Learn from this App.
You can also disable Suggest App, Show on Home Screen or Suggestion Notifications individually, depending on the options available.
This gives you more control without disabling Siri completely.
4. Turn Off Siri App Suggestions Completely
If you don’t find Siri’s suggested apps useful, you can disable them across your iPhone or iPad.
Go to Settings → Siri → Suggestions.
Turn off Suggest Apps Before Searching to prevent suggested apps from appearing when you open Spotlight Search.
You can also disable suggestions in the App Library, notifications or sharing menu if you prefer a less cluttered experience.
5. Keep Apps Searchable Without Showing Suggestions
Removing an app from Siri Suggestions doesn’t mean you have to hide it from search results.
You can keep an app searchable while turning off its recommendation settings.
For example, disabling Suggest App doesn’t necessarily disable Show App in Search. These controls serve different purposes.
If you want to hide an app from search entirely, open Settings → Search, select the app and turn off Show App in Search.
Be aware that restricting app search content can also limit some Siri AI personal-context features.

Why Does Siri Keep Suggesting Certain Apps?
Siri Suggestions uses signals such as your app usage, time of day and recent activity to predict what you might want to open next.
For example, Siri might suggest a messaging app in the morning or a music app during your regular commute.
While these predictions can be convenient, they aren’t always accurate. Fortunately, Apple lets you customize which apps appear.
Verdict
The quickest way to remove an unwanted app from Siri Suggestions is to open Spotlight, press and hold the suggested app, and choose “Don’t Suggest [App Name].”
For more control, use Settings → Siri → App Access to manage recommendations for individual apps.
You can also disable suggested apps entirely without deleting your apps or turning off Siri.
