The portable solid-state drive WD My Passport 1 TB is down to $159.99 at Amazon. There was an average of $180 for this portable storage device and recently it went for $170. The price of today is the lowest it’s ever gone. The deal matches Best Buy’s limited-time sale, so we expect Amazon’s price will not last too long either.
There are plenty of portable hard drives out there, but there are not the same moving parts for solid-state drives, which means they are much more durable for travel than a regular drive. Usually, the cost is the problem, and that’s why we have such deals. The transfer speeds of the WD My Passport are up to 540 MB / s. It can backup your data automatically and has encryption of your password to keep it safe. It is compatible with all previous generations with USB-C and USB 3.1. WD also supports it with a three-year warranty.
Existing owners very highly rate this SSD with an average 4.4-star review rating based on over 350 reviews.
